NDA 2023 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The NDA (National Defence Academy) Eligibility Criteria for 2023 is a crucial set of requirements that candidates must fulfil before applying for the NDA Exam. Both male and female candidates can apply, considering they meet the age and nationality criteria. Here is a breakdown of the NDA eligibility criteria for 2023:

Age Limit:

  • Only unmarried male and female candidates aged between 16.5 and 19.5 years are eligible to apply for the NDA Exam.
  • Candidates must not have been born earlier than 02 January 2004 or later than 01 January 2007.

Age Limit for Girls:

  • Female candidates have the same age limit as male candidates.
  • The official notification for NDA 1 2023, which includes the age limit details, was released on 10 January 2023.

NDA Eligibility for Female Candidates:

  • Female candidates have the same eligibility criteria as male candidates in terms of height, weight, vision, and marital status.

Educational Qualification:

  • For the Army wing, candidates must be appearing in or have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Marital Status:

  • Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply. Candidates who pass the exam are not allowed to marry until they complete their training in the Academy.

Physical Eligibility:

  • Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, and free from diseases and disabilities.
  • Tattoos are allowed only from the wrist to the inside of the elbow and on the hand's backside, with some exceptions for candidates from specific tribes.
  • Height, weight, chest, and other physical parameters are specified, and candidates must meet these requirements.
  • Medical examinations will be conducted, including checks for hearing, blood pressure, heart and blood vessel conditions, and more.

Height, Weight, and Chest Standards:

  • Height and weight requirements vary for different branches (Army, Air Force, Navy).
